But you would say that srsLTE or OpenLTE is an IMSI catcher for 4G or LTE networks. But srsLTE or OpenLTE IMSI catcher is not fully effective.</p>
<p>So one thing, can't 4G, LTE, or 3G networks be intercepted in the cellular network. No, IMSI capture works properly on 2G or GSM networks, but if we downgrade 4G, LTE, or 3G network to 2G or GSM network, we can sniffing the cellular network and call SMS and location.</p>
<h3>What is an IMSI Catcher :</h3>
<p>IMSI Catcher operates on a fake mobile phone tower between the target mobile phone and the reals towers of the service provider, It is considered a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack.</p>

<p>Add/Edit Files: To use the yate group, change the owner of the configuration files from root to yate. Execute the following commands:</p>

You can simply change&nbsp;<code>hostedx40.rbf</code>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<code>hostedx115.rbf</code>&nbsp;if you&rsquo;re using a bladeRF x115.</p>

<p>If the above installation was successful, you can start YateBTS with the command&nbsp;<code>sudo yate</code>&nbsp;(sudo is required for real-time thread priority).</p>
<p><strong>Make sure your computer supports USB 3.0 SS, and that the bladeRF is plugged directly into the bus (not through a hub or a front port). Also make sure that your Yate CPU usage isn&rsquo;t stuck close to 100%, otherwise, TX frames may be dropped.</strong></p>

<p>There are many ways to make a portable hacking device. It is too simple to make. But, one thing a hacking device is not existing because companies do not build a hacking device. Yes, companies do not make hacking devices. But don't worry.</p>
<p>Some devices are available to make portable hacking machines.</p>

<p>These devices are supported by Kali Nethunter(Kali NetHunter is a free and open-source mobile penetration testing platform for Android devices, based on Kali Linux.). First, you change or flash ROM like custom ROM using a jailbreaking (for ios) or bootloader unlocking(for android with rooted device), so you can make a portable hacking device.</p>

<h4>Flashing in TWRP:</h4>
<p>● If you have recovery mode on, you will need to copy the Nethunter OS zip file to your device.</p>
<p>● Wipe any previous ROMs by going to wipe tab. Select Advanced Wipe &amp; system/data/cache.</p>
<p>● Finally, go to install button and select Nethunter OS zip file.</p>
<h4>Setting Up:</h4>
<p>● Reboot your device. When it starts up the first time it will reboot once, don't be nervous.</p>
<p>● After your device loads go through the normal CM setup. Copy the kalifs-full.tar.xz from your computer to your device. Then:</p>
<p>1: Go to the Nethunter app</p>
<p>2: Go to "Kali Chroot Manager" after accepting permissions. If previous Chroot was found click "Remove Chroot" first.</p>
<p>3: Click on "Install Chroot" &gt; Use SDCARD &gt; Use Full</p>
<p>4: Exit out of app and run Nethunter terminal app and launch into Kali terminal.</p>
<h4>Monitor mode specifics:</h4>
<p>● There is a specific binary file for loading monitor mode inside chroot. To run it inside Kali terminal:</p>
